Ritu Kumar has designed costumes inspired by Garhwali culture for her son, Ashvin Kumar’s feature film, The Forest . The movie, to release today, is directed by Kumar’s son, Ashvin Kumar.
The designer has created costumes for the cast, which includes Nandana Sen. The film is an, “eco thriller.” The chilling tale about a man-eating leopard.
“The main protagonists are a wealthy couple from Delhi visiting Corbett Park, for a glimpse of the tiger. Nandana Sen wore t-shirts, khakhi jeans and a safari jacket over them.
“With khaki jodhpurs and a khakhi hat. The husband (Javed Jaffrey) ’s outfits were by Burberry in London,” informed Ritu, who used cotton for all her designs, that are hand-woven.
